Good Guy Rescues A Baby Moose Tangled In A Fence - The vast majority of Homo Sapiens are really good people, its a pity it's always the 5% bad ones we mostly hear from or about
This short video just brought home to me again that the silent majority of humans are generally very kind and helpful people to anyone else or anything in distress. I ran a blog on Google+ with over 500,000 followers and I could judge from the +1's and reshares how many people were reading but never commented. This short video just brought home to me again that the silent majority of humans are generally very kind and helpful people to anyone else or anything in distress. I ran a blog on Google+ with over 500,000 followers and I could judge from the +1's and reshares how many people were reading but never commented. Then there was that under 1% who were vocal and argued and trolled and who would deliberately just disrupt a good topic.
It's probably the nature of kind reasonable people not to be vocal and tackle trolls, and unfortunately too not always to get involved when crimes are observed. They won't commit crimes and they will go out of their way to help someone, but it usually does not extend to superhero status.
And then that other 5% who prey on the community through crimes, bullying, abuse, trolling, fraud, etc for their own gain (taking from those who earned what they have through hard work) or just for fun (no reason at all except getting a reaction). News seems more fixated on stories about the 5% than the many good deeds done every day.
For example recently in South Africa a young girl did not have money to pay for the petrol she just put in her car, and the petrol pump attendant (here in South Africa only paid a basic wage working long hours with little to show for it) paid for her petrol out of his pocket so that she would not run out of petrol somewhere and fall prey to criminals. He paid R100 which could be 50% to 80% of his daily pay.... she then publicised what happened and started a fund-raiser to thank him.. that fund collected over R300,000 within a week from donors! That shows really how much people care about others who care for people, and they were prepared to put up money for that.
There is tons of good in this world so we must never be blinded by those 5% - it's taught me never to judge the youth, men/women, black/white, religious/atheists, young or old by those 5%. You'll find the 5% everywhere, but you'll also find the 95% in those same groups.
